Happy student card

Hi - I have a happy student card which I'd like to apply to my order. Based on the happy student FAQs as well as sephora's FAQ section, these cards ARE accepted online at sephora.com. I have followed the instructions to a T. Added the card as a credit card at checkout, verified the number, expiration, and CVV several times, applied a GC for any amount beyond what is covered by the GC (though it doesn't work even if I try to make a purchase for less than what the card has on it) - and no luck. Keeps failing and not going through. Completely baffled as the sephora FAQs clearly state these cards are accepted and so does the happy student website. Depending on who I am connected to at customer service the conversation either disconnects (😅) or they say the cards are not accepted/ have never heard of happy student... but the sephora website itself says they are, so is the sephora site wrong? I have also quadruple verified the balance on the card and there is enough to cover the purchase im trying to make. Anyone else have this issue?

I have the same problem, and I've been trying to find a way to fix it for 2 weeks! Unfortunately, I didn't find... I'm a student girl who wants to be beautiful even at the lections. I have many opportunities, such as this writing source, student passes, special discounts, and help from my parents (they help me a lot with my spending, so I want to make them free from my makeup needings). But my budget is so tight, and I really need to use this GC as far as it's possible.

Adding an update in case anyone comes across this in the future. Seems the issue was from the happy student side, not sephora. Sephora looked into it from their end and couldn't find any problems. The problem eventually resolved itself without me contacting happy student. My guess is that it took time for the card to actually activate though it arrives saying its been activated. Regardless, I was able to use the card to make my purchase a few weeks after it arrived 🙂
