HOW TO REPORT RUDE EMPLOYEE

I went into a sephora I frequent regularly, armed with my "We Belong to Something Beautiful" Sephora tote bag, which I love and have on hand whenever I go into any Sephora for the additional 10 points. This is also my reusable shopping bag, as I am in Chicago and am charged for every bag. Mind you, I've never had any issue like this before so the following story really upset me.  I had trouble finding the product and so an associate helped me, I placed it into my bag and continued browsing the store. About 20 minutes later, she came up to me and handed me a basket, saying weakly how she'd prefer if I used a shopping basket instead of my tote, insinuating that I would steal.... I said nothing, but requested to speak to a store manager who did nothing to soothe my spirit, instead gave some weak reply about how her behavior is something Sephora doesn't tolerate, etc. etc. Even with that, I did proceed to attempt to make a purchase anyway but this manager didn't even know how I could redeem my own points for a discount on the product I intended to purchase in the first place, so I just left, brokenhearted and without the product I came for! Every moment being in this store was upsetting. As a black woman who has been a loyal Sephora for over a decade, I was terribly disappointed and am considering dropping the store altogether. Who can I speak to in further detail about this?

Just had my own experience in the 34th St. location in New York City. I’m also an insider I would try to steal something. I know it’s New York. I live out here. I also think there’s a better way to address your customers.
