Gift card scam

I purchased a $100 Sephora gift card in store for a friend but ended up keeping it for myself and gave her another gift.  When I entered it 12 days later for an online purchase it said $0 on card!  I was confused and tried it again several times to only get the same response.  I took the card and my receipt into my local Sephora store to find out why there were no funds on my gift card.  The sales associate called the customer service hotline.  The representative told me the card was used online for two separate transactions.  I did not use the card, it had been stolen and used for these purchases.  The sales associate made me feel like I was lying and that I was a criminal.  I was embarrassed and left the store crying.  This associate in particular has a bad attitude and is always very rude.  I have never had an issue with gift cards and this has never happened to me before.  I am a loyal Sephora customer maintaining the rouge level for years.  Sephora’s customer service told me to call my bank and offered no other solutions but to make me feel like a liar. I will never purchase another Sephora gift card and have stopped shopping there all together.  I will spend my money elsewhere where I am not treated like a liar or a thief.  Beware the gift cards are stolen and you will be scammed and lose your money!  I bought the gift card in the store thinking it would be the safer option.  Safe yourself the embarrassment and loss of your hard earned money and go somewhere else.  Shame on you Sephora for not supporting your loyal customers and allowing scammers to steal from us!

Oh stop. Y’all know you won’t do anything. If you look up previous messages I put up there, I have the name of an attorney that is willing to take the case against Sephora in a class action lawsuit. They have known about this for at least two years and have done nothing to help the customers. They take our money but offer no protection for customers. Hence the reason I am boycotting Sephora!

Few days ago it happened to me too. My daughter got $50 gift card from her friend and it was never scratched and when tried to use at store , balance is 0. Sephora customer service sucks.

SEPHORA IS CHEATING YOUNG TEENAGERS ALREADY WITH THEIR HYPE AND NOW WITH GIFTCARDS NOT HAVING PROTECTION OR REIMBURSING.

Boycott Sephora, Sephora should stop selling gift cards
