Gift card purchased at Walgreens $0 balance

Hello, I was given a gift card purchased at Walgreens, which k clouded a receipt which showed a balance of $100. When attempting to use this card for online purchase it states there is a $0 balance. Please help!

Did they resolve anything? Same thing happened to me.

Hi - The same thing happened to me. I received a Sephora gift card from my friend which she bought from Walgreens worth $100 on 12/21; however, there was no balance on it. I have the receipt showing my friend paid the full amount. 

Sephora and Walgreens both said they won’t do anything about it. I saw that it frequently happens; especially, at the Walgreens it was bought from so everyone is on notice. I’m about to contact the BBB and speak to my attorney. This is a big class action waiting to happen.
