Gift card is active but Sephora say "Invalid"

I see many ladies are having the same issue with an "Invalid" gift card. I received a $50 gift card and cannot use it. Called customer service at the store it was purchased from, and they confirmed that the card has been activated. They also mention that people often have trouble with Sephora gift cards...HELP!
