Gift card added to apple wallet, balance showing up as zero when trying to use

Hi,

I received a $50 digital gift card for my birthday and added to my wallet to not forget about it - i tried to use for an online purchase today and got the error message that the card has a $0 balance.

I see from past conversations this is a common occurrence with adding the card to apple wallet. Is there any way to reinstate my funds on my card? This card has NEVER been used and also shows a $50 balance still on apple wallet.

The exact same thing happened to me. I talked to 4 different customer service representatives and was told there was nothing i could do! Mine was for $75 and had been in my apple wallet since I received it and I know it's never been used.  It's completely unexceptable!
