Couldn’t redeem bday gift and points now expired

I’ve been a loyal Sephora VIB for MANY years (Rouge status until recently). When I tried to redeem my bday reward in Dec 22, I kept getting an error like the bday rewards were out of stock. I figured I would try again after the holidays and now I also see that my remaining points have been deleted. I had over 1500 points, which I have earned through purchases at Sephora. I had no idea these could even expire and honestly don’t understand the company’s logic here? This only encourages customers to go elsewhere. Please consider changing this policy, and hoping I can still get my points restored!  I literally had items in my cart, including items using those points so I have been active, just hadn’t purchased yet. So frustrated.
