Contouring

am would like to know what products and brushes for use for contouring? I like the natural/nude look. I am currently using Pomegranate Primer from Korress and using Martinique tinted moisturizer by Nars as my foundation.

Re: Contouring

My favorite contouring method is with the COVER FX Total Cover Cream Foundations. swfupload_7077204746645153692.jpgIt is a great formula and the perfect consistency to work with. It comes in three tones- for pink, gold, and neutral, and in each tone there are a number of shades - as long as they are close enough and in the same category, they will blend beautifully!

In terms of brushes, my favorite is Sephora's pro-airbrush collection. They have different sizes for precision levels, and give an airbrushed, blended finish, which is especially important when contouring. Try the SEPHORA COLLECTION Pro Flawless Airbrush #56 for generally applying your foundation. Then use the SEPHORA COLLECTION Pro Airbrush Concealer Brush #57 for the more detailed lines, like on the nose and under the cheekbones. Use the #56 again to blend.swfupload_5739506527334814617.jpg

Have fun with it and good luck!

Re: Contouring

For your complexion, try either MUFE's Sculpting Kit in 3 or 4. Martinique has a warm red undertone, and so does Kit 3, but if you're wanting something deeper try 4, which has a neutral undertone and won't clash (you don't want a cool brown against a red undertone, which can cause skin to look ashen).

Try using a fan brush or stippling brush to get a soft, natural contour without over applying product and overwhelming skin. Take a look at this thread if you need more info on the concept of contouring:
