Can I return used brushes to Sephora?

I bought the brushes less than 90 days ago but I don't have the receipt or the original packaging it came in. I don't like the way the brushes distribute the makeup on my face and really I'm looking for just a store credit. Is it possible for me to make the return without the physical receipt or the packaging it came in? I used my VIB card when buying it if that makes any difference.
