5 year anniversary promotion (5x the points) and obtaining VIB status

Will points obtained through your 5 year anniversary promotion (5x the points on purchases thru 10/17) be applicable towards obtaining VIB status?

I needed some 200 more points to obtain VIB for next year, and just made a purchase of a little over $50. So as 50 x 5= 250, with the promotion offer, I should now have added 250 to my beauty bank- but will the points that we gain through this promotion still qualify us for VIB? Thank you!

VIB status is not determined by your number of Beauty Points, rather it is determined by dollar amount spent in a calendar year. You have to spend $350 in a calendar year, how many beauty points you got for spending this amount is only useful for getting perks. So if you spent $50 and needed $200 to qualify for VIB status, you still need to spend $150 in this calendar year.
