Oily hair?

I have been doing the curly girl method for almost a year now and my hair has been curlier than ever! I have been experimenting with different products and methods, I’ve heard a lot about how curly hair is usually dry which is weird because I have kinda oily hair. Is that normal for some curly haired people or is it just me?

Definitely not just you. I’ve seen some other curlies with my hair type go a week without washing their hair and it absolutely blows my mind. I have to wash every other day or my hair is like pancaked to my scalp because it can get so oily.

It's definitely not just you! I just started the CG method like a week or two ago, but I've had an oily scalp all my life. Right now I'm trying alternate between a low-poo and cleansing conditioner to wean my hair off of washing it every day with sulfate shampoo 😞

My ends tend to be more dry, but I can relate to an oily scalp.
