Best hair straightener/flat iron? Or some comparisons?

I am in the market for a new flat iron. Currently have a CHI that is 6 + years. I have thick long, coarse, curly hair. Any recommendations? I was looking at the GHD's.

My stylist (and myself) use the Solano Sleek heat and the FHI platform

I got a GHD bundle around this time last year with 20% off and I love it! The set is called 'The GHD Good Hair Day Kit' and it comes with the 1" flat iron, a large paddle brush, the heat protection spray, and a mat.
