How do I get natural beach waves with thick hair

It's a process and takes more time to deal with thick hair.  I have a lot of hair and I like to spray bumble and bumble surf spray into my damp hair.  I start making twist in sections all over my head and then take a blow dryer to dry the twist.  After that when I take the twist out I have wavy hair.

 

The easier way to go is to create waves with a flat iron or a curling iron.

 

Desi Perkins on youtube has videos on how to create waves in your hair.
