I am trying to revive my curls as I have dyed many, many times recently. I am doing the plop method as you suggested, but anxious for it to dry. I got rid of what I was using and used what I had of curl products. Damage Remedy by Aveda and Ouai Curl Jelly. I undid it before it was dry, but taking it out of the t-shirt, I was amazed by the wave and it was so soft! I dried with a diffuser a bit. This is the results:
