products and tips for hair very dry and mistreated by hair relaxer. (4C hair)

Hi everyone!

Since I had 7 years old my mom used to put hair relaxer on my hair, i keep doing the same cause i want beautiful hair and etc, now I'm 20 and since 1 year I don't use relaxer, that's makes me feel more comfortable with myself because I came back to natural. The pro it's that it's very dry, thick and it doesn't have shape or volume, my hair it's very thin and the color it's very clear like Ambar and also my hair has dandruff (not so much as the typical). I used to wear box braids because I thought it helps my hair grew up but it's the opposites and it damaged more my hair. I need any recommendations for have a healthy natural hair and don't worry about how my hair looks like if I use the good products.

Thanks! xoxo

Hi love, I have grown my hair out since ditching perms 9 years ago. the first thing is to lock in moisture. You have to wash with a PH balance shampoo I started out using Aphogee. and I love Joico products (blue bottle restore moisture) from Marshalls, TJ Maxx or Burlington for a cheaper price bit you can get it anywhere they sell hair products. Then use a deep conditioner and situnder a dryer. I go to a Dominican salon. If you don't have a dryer wrap your cap with a towel and leave it on for half the day. Your body heatwill warm your scalp/hair. Next lock in themoisture!! This is crucial!! My favorite conditioner besides whatever mysalon uses is Doo Grow either the blue packet thick and long hair or the green mango packet or bottle. Amazon has them or your local beautystore) it's so good you don't need a leave in spray or much if it.. whenyou rinse the deep conditioner out USE COLD WATER ONLY OR SLIGHTLY WARM. Do not over rinse.. (this is going to close the cuticle on your hair shaft) then seal it with a little oil... very little oil. Do not use heavy oils like Jamaican castor oil they clog your hair and weight it down. Also they can actually keep moisture from getting into your shaft if you are trying to moisturize your hair in between washes. You can spray olive oil hair spray and rub it through that's it don't over spray and style. If you're straightening use a light heat protecting spray. The moisture should be locked in. I recommend cutting your ends once every 2-3 months. Just go through tgem and cut the spilt ones yourself do it doesn't travel up your shaft and you loose more length. I hope this helps you get started. Oh and wear satin bonnet in the house. This is also crucial to stopping spilt ends. Good Luck!!

Thank you so much! I'm Dominican! I will make an association with my regimen and let's see if it works. Blessings.
