curls not working

Hey! I recently got my hair cut and now my hair is super dry and will not curl at all. It is making awkward waves now and i am so mad. I miss my super curly hair and i dont know what to do... any suggestions??

My curls go from curls to waves a lot. I would recommend some curl cream, deva curl has a great one. Applying some coconut oil will help bring some moisture back, but adding too much will weigh it down. In my case when my curls start to get wavy I let my hair air dry and do as it wishes lol.
