I've been treating my scalp with a combo of mustard oil, tea tree oil and coconut oil. I let it sit for hours then wash it out. I've been using a scalp brush as well. I used to hold off on hair washing (because my stylist used to tell me not to wash my curly, dyed hair so often). Well, I had to change that since the pandemic, for some reason. I'm not washing my scalp way more often (hair less) but at least doing a scalp cleanse. Apple cider vinegar also works. Also, I've noticed that using a humidifier in my room has helped with dryness on not just my hair but skin and eyes (I have dry eyes).

I second the tea tree oil recommendation - I've had really good luck with that before! I also recently discovered charcoal treatments for dry itchy flaky scalp and would recommend that too. I think apple cider vinegar might something to consider as well. There are a few products that Sephora carries that could address those needs. Check out any of these and see if they might help you: Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Shampoo Mini 1 oz/ 30 mL , dpHUE Mini Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse 3 oz/ 88 mL , Briogeo B. Well Organic + Australian 100% Tea Tree Skin & Scalp Oil Good luck!

I currently use the Olaplex line; shampoo once a week along with the use of the deep treatments #0 & #3. I use the basic conditioner last then put #6 & #7 into my hair while wet. That’s when the confusion starts. What goes on next? Curl cream, mousse, gel,? Can I mix them all together? All I want is nice spirals, no crunch, along with some above average volume. Latest buy is Amika curl cream & gel. I feel these two may be drying my hair out as I am dealing with a lot of frizz right now. I would be happy with any help I can get. It took a long time for me to get my curly top in shape and now I feel like I am back sliding to my awful teen years when no one new how to help me with my curls so my mom would use wax paper and an iron to straighten it.

Hey! So I have super bleached hair and since dying it so much my natural curls have mostly turned to frizz. Have you tried the Aunt Jackie's Quench leave in conditioner?! It's amazinggg it made my hair SO SOFT and gave it MOVEMENT 😩 It dramatically reduced my frizz when I let my hair dry naturally. And I actually saw a lot of my natural curl pattern come back out. It's super cheap and affordable I got it from Target I highly recommend 👌

In the quest ti find the perfect product for my 2 year old baby girl, I finally found Madam C.J. walker coconut oil that came inside of of a hair treatment pack. It works so amazing on her hair and it isn't greasy or heavy. Now that it is running out, I can seem to buy it on its own. Not to mention I can't buy any Madam C.J. Walker products on Sephora.com. Hellllpppp! Does anyone have any replacement products that will work just as good? Teresa G

depends on your preference. i like lighter colors on myself like a honey blonde or coppery brown. I feel it adds more of a defined look to my curls (probably just because the individual curls are easier to see). my spouse likes it better dark...too bad for him 😝. My curls are between 3b-3c depending.

I know someone already mentioned this, but it depends on where you live and if you are dealing with hard water or not. I moved from Arizona (dry heat, hard water) to Georgia (humid, softer water) and it took me several months of trial and error to figure out what worked for my 3C hair. If you live somewhere with hard water I would highly recommend using Apple cider vinegar to get rid of any build up. The dryness and frizziness can be caused by hard water. Try mixing 1 teaspoon of ACV and 2 cups of water and massage it into her scalp after shampooing. Allow this to sit for 2-3 minutes and then rinse and condition. I would also recommend Verb Curl Conditioner 32 oz/ 946 mL and Verb Curl Shampoo . I also likeMizani 25 Miracle Milk Leave-In Conditioner ans Mizani True Textures Curl Enhancing Lotion 4.2 oz/ 125 mL Hope this helps!!
