the shade finder is so off. does it ever update?? im having trouble finding matches w/o going into store.

The shades the iq finds for me are way off. With some brands way too light other brands dark. I go in-store get swatches on my jawline, but the lighting isn't great in-store, so I get samples (grateful for the samples) to see what shade matches in natural light.

@mara312 I've found the Shade Finder matches based on undertone instead of depth. I always have to check the actual IQ for whatever shade it tells me. Sometimes it's 2 shades deeper or 1 shade lighter but has the same Y or R. At best, it's a guide...Which is sometimes updated. And sometimes not. (ex. -- the Fenty Concealer IQs are copied from the foundation, but Fenty launched saying they weren't a match. 😕)
