Thoughts on IT cosmetics cc cream?

IT cosmetics CC cream

Re: Thoughts on IT cosmetics cc cream?

This was pushed on me in store when I went looking for a tinted moisturizer. Apparently it is the best thing since sliced bread yada yada yada. I found it to be suffocating and way too thick and not at all natural looking. I dont return much at all but this went back.

Re: Thoughts on IT cosmetics cc cream?

I've tried both the original and illuminating CC creams from IT Cosmetics, and I had much more natural/effective coverage with the illuminating formula. I have combo skin that tends to break out easily and is oily in the T-zone. I like the illuminating formula because one pump covers my whole face and offers pretty natural/even coverage. For some reason, the original formula is really hard to blend with my fingers and ends up looking streaky/chalky on me. I really do like the illuminating version, though. It leaves me looking dewy, natural and covers any redness and/or blemishes. It cuts my makeup routine down considerably and goes on better without primer (IMO). I normally prefer a full-face, but when I'm running short on time, it's perfect!

RE: Re: Thoughts on IT cosmetics cc cream?

Thanks! I read reviews that a lot of people found it too shiny for them? Did you find this? I usually like illuminating and dewy looks on myself. But I didn’t want a sparkly face lol! I was wanting something light to wear to work everyday since my skin doesn’t do well with thick foundation everyday.

Re: Thoughts on IT cosmetics cc cream?

I like it for what it is. However, this doesn't give me the coverage I need. It didn't cover my acne scars completely, and it goes on a little lighter in shade. I'm a medium skin tone, and the SPF in it gave me a slightly gray cast if I applied too much. If you're buying this as a lighter option to foundation, I'd try it out before you make a full commitment and buy it. Their shade range isn't the greatest, and I had to mix other foundations with it to make it work. I honestly think that if you have great skin and are on the fairer side, it would work for you.

Thanks! This is something I want to wear to work everyday instead of foundation.

Re: Thoughts on IT cosmetics cc cream?

I used to love both the original and matte versions and was using it for a while. What changed was I wanted something with a lighter coverage that wouldn't hide my freckles as much. I thought the CC creams were starting to look too makeup-y and heavy on my skin and the thicker texture started to feel icky...  so I switched to Kosas and Ilia (the latter which i'm currently using).

It's great that there's a high SPF in it but i wouldn't rely solely on that to protect my skin.

Re: Thoughts on IT cosmetics cc cream?

It's a full-coverage foundation with a pretty limited shade range, @Mattie16 @. For me, the original gets too greasy on my skin since I tend towards oily, but I haven't tried the matte version

Re: Thoughts on IT cosmetics cc cream?

@Mattie16, the original version of the IT Cosmetics CC cream is one of my favorite bases. I know they make a matte version - I picked up a mini size of it to try on days when my skin is oilier. I've had the original version in my foundation rotation for over 5 years. It does a great job of covering my redness, evening out my skintone and providing coverage without feeling heavy on my skin. It's a fuller coverage foundation for me, a little on the thicker side, but still one of the quickest foundations for me to apply. A little goes a long way and I find it applies best with a beautyblender.
