Lighter in winter months

Hi there,

during the summer months I use the shade 'Porcelain' from Toofaced.

Although I've been told on multiple occasions that my skin has neutral undertones,

I often find that it can be a bit more yellowy on my face.

I am that person that shamelessly wears the same foundation year-round, trying to use more lighter concealers to try

and combat the foundation I use & wears turtlenecks.

Is there a general rule of how many shades lighter I should go when choosing a foundation for the colder months?

I am looking to continue using Toofaced but I'm open to other foundations for combo skin; medium-full coverage.

Need hydrating and oil-free foundations.

I also bought the new fenty pressed powder foundation in 140 I think which is also a bit darker and more yellow on me.

My neck and body are lighter but still looks to have more yellow undertones.

Please help!

Thank you

Re: Lighter in winter months

@FunkyFunkyLotus Usually people have a regular shade they use throughout the year and a shade darker for when it is summer. There is no rule of thumb of how much lighter or darker you should go because each person’s skin color is different.  I have multiple shades of foundation so that I can custom mix my shade year round.

Re: Lighter in winter months

I ended up just eyeballing what might be close to my complexion.

Idk why I'm terrible at trying to mix foundations to match my complexion.

Hopefully this Ivory shade works.

Thank you for your reply!
