Kat Von D or smash box foundation?

hey, just wondering what foundation you would recommend for dry-combination skin? im thinking either Kat Von D lock it or smash box studio skin?
help would be much appreciated!!

I would steer clear of KVD. It has a tendency to show any amount of texture or dryness. It's beautiful when there's minimal to no imperfections on the skin, but otherwise at least on my skin it can look quite terrible. 

I've never tried the smashbox studio skin so I cannot give a recommendation on that. 

However, I love the tarte rainforst of the sea foundation. Regardless of what my skin looks like it always preforms beautifully.
