Foundation Starts to peel

image.jpg

IMG_1394.jpeg

I recently bought the Haus Labs foundation due to the great reviews, I wanted to get it a try since I was in the market for a new foundation. I recently noticed that when I started to apply the foundation over my face that it would kinda start to peel in some areas. I gave it another try this time with a brush instead of a beauty blender and I got the same output. My skin care routine is face wash, toner and the I use the Purif Hydrating & Maytifying oil free gel cream that can be used as a primer that was recommended to me by the Sephora beauty expert. I’m not sure if that’s the problem.

Re: Foundation Starts to peel

It sounds like this could be piling @Jaze00

Sometimes an ingredient in our skin care dosen't agree with an ingredient in our makeup and the product pills up.

You can try removing one item at a time from your skincare routine and seeing which one is interfering. ( For example, try with out your primer, do you get a better result?)

(Another tip is to allow your skincare to absorb longer before applying your makeup, and make sure your not using to much skincare. Using a little less can sometimes help.) 💖

Re: Foundation Starts to peel

@Jaze00 what skin type do you have? One reason for foundation peeling is that it may not be the right kind for your skin. Other things that cause peeling is too much layering of product and not giving your skincare time to absorb into your skin before going in with foundation.

If you find that none of these things are an issue for you then it’s possible that this foundation just doesn’t work very good for you and that’s okay, different things work for different skin types.

Re: Foundation Starts to peel

Thank you for your reply. I have combo skin and I usually just wash my face with cleanser and then toner after about 10 minutes I apply the primer and let it dry for 10 minutes and apply my foundation.

Re: Foundation Starts to peel

hmm well maybe try experimenting with a different primer? Maybe its not mixing well with your current one.
