Dry skin and dark circles and undertone

I struggle so much with my skin. No matter how I prep my skin, once I've applied makeup, it either looks dry or my makeup appears to sit on the skin. I've used Korean skin care, luxury brands and drugstore brands and none seem to work for me. I use serums, lotion, primers, colour correctors, setting spray etc. Please share your advice with me. I've attached a photo of myself in natural light without makeup and another work makeup. What is my undertone? I've been told cool, warm, olive...

Products I've tried:

Inn beauty Moisturizer, plumping serum

Skinfix serum, Moisturizer

Dermatology daily milk foliant

First aid beauty pads

Kiehls under eye cream

Inn beauty under eye cream

Dermatology hyaluronic serum

The Ordinary hyaluronic serum, matrixyl, Argireline, Caffeine, multi-peptide+copper

Olehenriksen banana bright eye stick, vitamin C milky toner

Glow recipe watermelon glow niacinamide

Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base

Make up forever primer hydra booster, HD skin hydra glow foundation

IT cosmetics CC+ nude glow foundation

...and so much more.

Re: Dry skin and dark circles and undertone

You've tried a lot @Talie77, I'm sorry to hear you haven't found what works for you yet. Don't give up thou, it takes time but I think you will figure it out. 💚 I gotta say, your skin looks beautiful!

Hum... If your undertone gets confused between many types, maybe your a neutral?

Okay so, a few things. Trying new products and lots of them can be a tricky time for your skin. The general rule of thumb is, if your trying something new, go for a one at a time approach. And for skincare it can take 3-4 weeks to start seeing results. It's a lot of patience required in the beginning, I know. 😅

The only advice I have, is for the part where you said that your makeup feels like it's just sitting on your skin. I would suggest using a little less products and serums. Less is more with skincare sometimes. Try a little less moisturizer, serum's etc and let it absord for awhile ( 10-30 minutes whatever you can do) before going in with your makeup and see if that makes a difference.

Sorry for the long ramble here. I hope something here is helpful. 🙏

Re: Dry skin and dark circles and undertone

Thank you for your advice.  I usually only wait for a few minutes (with a fan on my face) between layers. I may also be trying to do too many things at one time. Could you please recommend which serums/treatments/oils and creams should be used on a given day in the AM and PM? TIA 😊

Re: Dry skin and dark circles and undertone

I'm totally in love with the Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation. I'm 53 and have dry areas on my otherwise normal skin, as well as dark circles. It's the very best Foundation I've ever used!! I don't mind the price because it works so well!! Hope this helps. #Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation
