Winter Combo Skin! PLS SEND HELP

So I have combo skin and lately its been exceptionally frustrating. I'm 20 and going to uni in A country that boasts FREEZING weather, which I actually love but as a makeup lover it's a nightmare.

I haven't been huge on skincare coz up until going to uni I thought I didn't need it. Now with the winter weather, it seems ESSENTIAL. Only skincare I use is the Clinique Hydra Essential as a moisturizer and I pamper myself with some Glam and Glow masks at least 3 times a week but that's it.

Now I find in the mornings my makeup goes on so super dry that all my texture is amplified but then through out the day it gets really oily and gross feeling but still looks dry as well. IT'S MIND BOGGLING and I'm just confused. Obviously I need help with some winter skincare and maybe a magical primer.

Please give me your recommendations. I don't mind splurging if the stuff is like a holy grail life saver.

I'm normally combo skin, but this wretched long winter has dried me out like crazy. Too Faced Hangover primer has helped immensely. I wouldn't call it a holy grail, but pretty darn helpful.
