New Tatcha rice cleanser VS Exfoliant cleanser

Hey guys, im looking for opinions on the new Tatcha cleanser.

Ive been using the Exfoliant one and love it, it makes my skin feel really good, and it smells good too, but because its exfoliating(its gentle but still), i only use it once a week, and so im trying to find another good cleanser that we can use more regularly.

If you tried the new Tatcha cleanser, please posts your thoughts here 🙂

Thank you in advance for sharing your stuff 😉

@Emy10 I have tried both and love the new Tatcha The Rice Wash Skin-Softening Cleanser 4.0 oz / 120 mL

The new cleanser is great to use everyday and if you need to gently exfoliate your face you can add Tatcha The Rice Polish Foaming Enzyme Powder to it.  I have been using it since it launched over a week ago and love it so far on my dry combo sensitive skin.  If you can get a sample to try I would do it before committing to the full size.

Re: New Tatcha rice cleanser VS Exfoliant cleanser

@SportyGirly125 , @RAWRitsRED , i got the Rice Wash sample, and so i wanted to share my experience and also ask you guys a question.

My experience with the Rice Wash is alright, but personally i found my skin feeling a bit less ''squiky'' clean lol compared to with the other Tatcha exfoliant.

Im not sure, but i think that the Rice Wash may be a bit less stripping because after using it, my skin didnt feel greasy, but i felt a bit of a film that i dont feel from using the other exfoliant, and so that made me think that maybe the Rice Wash is a bit more gentle, and more hydrating too.

So far i still prefer the other one, but i will finish the sample as its still nice.

The other thing that made me thing that the Rice Wash might be a bit more hydrating or in general less stripping is because of the packaging color (purple like the Dewy cream).

Also in the description, for the Rice Wash, if i remember well is said to be for dry to combo skin, and i think that for the other exfoliant it goes up to oily skin.

Now i have combo skin, but can get more oily at times (mostly during summer time, etc.) and so it might be why it feels different for me and that i like the other one better.

Also note that for me, the Dewy cream was too much and didnt work well with my combo skin, it left a film feeling that i didnt like.

What do you guys think? what was your experience?

@Emy10 I don't have any issues with the rice wash at all.  I have more dry/combo skin leaning more dry so it worked perfect for me.

Re: New Tatcha rice cleanser VS Exfoliant cleanser

Thanks for the update, @Emy10!  It's always interesting to hear other people's opinions and experiences.

For me, I thought it worked pretty well and liked that my skin didn't feel tight after using it.  Some cleansers make my face feel tight and dry.  I personally don't mind that the Rice Wash is on the gentle, less stripping side since I use other harsher, drying products after to help control the oils.

Re: New Tatcha rice cleanser VS Exfoliant cleanser

@RAWRitsRED hey no problem 🙂

Also to note that with the other Tatcha exfoliant that my skin didnt feel ''tight'', it feels really good and clean, but more squikish clean, but not dry at all, compared to the Rice one that feels like it leaves a ''hydrating'' film on the skin that i dont like, thats why i said that it feels like the Rice one is more hydrating.

Maybe for some people it feels more tight if they have dry or combo-dry skin, i have combo to oily.

Hi @Emy10!

I recently got a free sample of the Tatcha The Rice Wash Skin-Softening Cleanser 4.0 oz / 120 mL .  Not sure if both choices are still available, but you can use the code Tatchaskin with a $35 purchase.

I have oily skin but the Rice Wash still worked pretty well when combined with my oil controlling products.  My skin felt nice and soft after using it.
