Allergic reaction to Merit Great Skin instant glow serum

Had an allergic reaction to the new Merit Great Skin instant glow serum. Red bumps everywhere I put it and my husband said my face looked swollen. Wondering if anyone else had issues.  This has never happened before to any skincare and I'm pretty proud of my Rouge status so I've tried my fair share of products. Posting this to the combo skin forum  in case it has something to do with skin type.

Re: Allergic reaction to Merit Great Skin instant glow serum

The same thing happened to me a week after using this product! Full hives/red face and my face is swollen and very warm! How long did it take for your symptoms to go down and does anyone have any idea what ingredient could be in here that’s causing this reaction? Obviously I’d like to avoid it moving forward! This has never happened to my face from a product before either!

Re: Allergic reaction to Merit Great Skin instant glow serum

I purchased some makeup from MERIT for the first time (concealer, highlighter, bronzer, blush) and have developed contact dermatitis from it as well (alllll over my face). I don't have sensitive skin and have used many beauty products over the years, so this is a first for me. I have reported it to MERIT and asked for a refund (pending their approval at this time). I would encourage you to do the same.

Re: Allergic reaction to Merit Great Skin instant glow serum

I started using Merit’s Great Skin serum about a month ago and hadn’t any problems and was generally enjoying the product. But yesterday my face broke out into hives, similar to the post above. I tried again today to make sure it wasn’t a fluke, and same thing happened. Confused because everything was fine until yesterday and no other factors to my daily routine changed (other skincare products, makeup, detergent, etc). My skin is prone to being sensitive however Merit products have generally been safe. Wondering if anyone else has had similar issues with extended use?

Re: Allergic reaction to Merit Great Skin instant glow serum

Something very similar just happened to me today. I applied the serum to my bare face (as I have been for approximately a week or more without issue) and within an hour my face was hot, red itchy, and full of hives. I am unsure what suddenly caused this issue. I wonder if ours came from the same batch...3143A on the bottom of the bottle?
