LOOKING FOR A MOISTURIZER

Hi everyone!

This is my first post here and I wish you’ll be able to help me!

As the title says, I am looking for a moisturizer, specifically to apply at night. I wanted to buy the Youth To The People Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi 2 oz/ 60 mL, but I find it kind of pricey (75$ CAD).

I have sensitive, reactive, combination skin (dry on my cheeks, but oily on my T-zone). I sometimes experience redness, but I just bought a serum for this concern and it’s working great for now. I am also prone to breakouts, so I would love a moisturizer with CLEAN ingredients if possible.

I actually use the Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion in the morning and I LOVE it!

Do you have any recommendations?
Thanks! 🙂

The Ordinary

Re: LOOKING FOR A MOISTURIZER

Hi

I'm a regular user of Cetaphil moisturizing cream for sensitive combination skin and I really love this product. I'm also having a very sensitive combination T-zone skin texture. Initially, I used to struggle with dealing with both the oily and dry regions on my face and as the acne formation increased, I had to consult a good dermatologist. It is as per his recommendation that I started using this moisturizer and within a few weeks this turned out to be my holy grail skin care product. You can buy moisturizing cream online or at stores at affordable rates.

Hope this helps!

Hey!

I’ve been using Glow Recipes Watermelon Juice Moisturizer! I also have combination skin and acne prone and it’s been so so good! It’s clean at Sephora and the large size is just over $50 CAN. They also have a mini for $28.

Can’t say enough good things about glow recipe!

lots of love ❤️

Re: LOOKING FOR A MOISTURIZER

Hi @minigabie ,

I have completely fallen in love with Cerave products myself! My derm recommended them as they agree with most skin types and don’t (usually) bother those with sensitive skin or those who are prone to breakouts. For awhile I was using the Cerave PM moisturizer which may work for you and is very affordable.

HOWEVER! I started using Farmacy Honey Halo Ultra-Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer and am obsessed!!! It’s clean, perfect for combo skin & keeps everything smooth and hydrated. I’ve noticed when I do break out, it calms it down. And as for moisturizing - it keeps my skin glowing but doesn’t feel sticky or oily in my T-zone. It also comes in different sizes, since it is a little pricey you have the option to try a teeny size and see if you like it. ☺️ I hope you find something that works for you!

Thank you so much for your answer! This moisturizer looks amazing! 😄

Re: LOOKING FOR A MOISTURIZER

@minigabie I really like the Biossance Omega Repair Deep Hydration Moisturizer with Ceramides and Hyaluronic Acid + Squalane but if you're looking for something more affordable,  I like the Pacifica Ceramide cream. It's feels rich but not heavy. Cerave also makes a PM version of their lotion, so you could give that a try as well.

Thanks for the recommendations!! 😄

Re: LOOKING FOR A MOISTURIZER

@minigabie - If you love the Cereve, why don't you use that one at night too?  Is there a reason you need or want a different night-time moisturizer?  I went through a period where I thought I needed a separate night-time moisturizer, but realized that my day-time moisturizer was the perfect moisturizer for me so there was no point.  I now use the same product both morning and night.

Re: LOOKING FOR A MOISTURIZER

Yeah... at the moment that's what I am doing! Initially, I wanted a different cream to apply at night because I looove the one I currently have for daytime because it's light weight and non-greasy, but I feel like my skin needs even more moisture. So, I guessed that I could use a different cream at night to give that extra moisture to my face!

But in the meantime I am sticking to my daytime cream! Thank you for your answer! 🙂

Re: LOOKING FOR A MOISTURIZER

I read about them already and they seem like very efficient creams! Thanks for your answer! 😍

Re: LOOKING FOR A MOISTURIZER

I love the Youth To The People Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi 2 oz/ 60 mL moisturizer for nighttime because it's thick (not oily at all) and really locks in the moisture before you sleep for hours. It allows time for it to soak in and really do its job!
