@OnlyMar Sephora has a few very affordable skincare lines, The Ordinary, The INKEY List, and Innisfree. I haven't tried The INKEY List, but I've used both The Ordinary and Innisfree with good results. The Ordinary has a kit, in fact, The Ordinary The Acne Set The INKEY List Breakout 101is another possibility. The Ordinary also offers some haircare products, but nothing specific for frizzy hair, unfortunately. Hopefully someone with thick, frizzy hard (not my hair by any means!) can offer some economical suggestions to you. Good luck!

Hi @makeupschool! Apologies for the delay. Saw @JoSometimes' tag and was giving some thoughts to recommendations for you. In my mind, a gentle, simple-and-effective skincare routine would be the way to go. I've had 15+ steps in my skincare routines as well as (very recently) 3-steps, which was actually so great for my skin. I'm probably at 4-5 steps at the moment, with the extra steps addressing some changes in my skin due to the change in weather. For your 8-year old cousin, a routine of cleanser, moisturizer and SPF would be great. Recs are below with links to those that are available at Sephora. Off the top of my head, I don't know of a skincare set with all 3 types of products for $15, but here are some wonderfully effective skincare products in each of the three categories that fall within your budget (which by the way, I think is a good (and reasonable) price point for your cousin). CLEANSER: Cetaphil makes great cleansers - they're effective and gentle for sensitive skin types. Would recommend picking up a fragrance-free version. There's also Etude House Soon Jung pH 5.5 Foam Cleanser. All the products in the line that the Etude House cleanser is a part of are excellent for sensitive skin. MOISTURIZER: Cerave Baby Cream - the downside is that this is a rather thick formula; also, if your cousin is like my niece, she will not like being called or associated with a "baby" so that might make the Cerave a turnoff. Cerave Ultra Light Moisturizing Gel or CosRx Oil Free Lotion with Birch Sap or CosRx Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer for Day and Night or The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA 3.3 oz/ 100 mL. I've used the Cerave and CosRx products myself and they're ones I have repurchased. The Ordinary one, I've tried a sample of it and liked. SUNSCREEN: Baby Bum Mineral 50 Sunscreen - Fragrance Free or Pipette Mineral Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Sunscreen or ETUDE Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk SPF50+ / PA++++ (this has been in my SFP rotation for 5+ years) or Paula's Choice RESIST Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Face Sunscreen SPF 50 2 oz/ 60 mL Thank you for the tag, @JoSometimes! Gets the job done perfectly.

Hey @makeupschool and welcome to the world of skincare! I find it’s best to start with this info about yourself: What’s your skin type/behavior? Does your skin feel quite dry everywhere? Or quite oily everywhere? Or do you have oily skin on part(s) of your face and dry skin everywhere else? Or, is your skin not too dry or oily anywhere (balanced)? Do you have any skin issues you want to address, or goals you want to meet? What do you want skincare products to do for you? This will help you figure out what your skin actually needs. We don’t all have the same skin type/behavior, issues, or goals, so we don’t all need the same steps and products in our skincare routines. Is your skin sensitive to any ingredient(s) you know of, or do you have a true allergy to anything? If yes, you’ll want to avoid those ingredients in skincare products. Example: my skin’s very sensitive to lavender, so I can’t use any product on my face that contains any form of that ingredient. Normally I’d include the budget/price cap question, but you already answered that one. 🙂 An effective skincare routine can be as simple as a non-drying cleanser (PM, optional AM), a good moisturizer (PM & AM), and a broad spectrum sunscreen (AM). Anything you add to that routine will depend on your answers to those questions above.

Hi @Natg511, love skincare. There's so many great products out there. Would you mind sharing more about what you are looking for? That would be helpful in providing you recommendations that meet your needs. How would you describe your skin type? Dry? Oily? Combo? Normal? Is there a particular type of skincare product(s) you're interested in (e.g., cleanser, serum, moisturizer, mask, etc)? Is there a specific concern or concerns you're looking to address (e.g., brightening, hydrating, firming, moisturizing, pore care, acne/blemishes, sun spots / discoloration, redness, tone, lines, wrinkles).
