Thanks @haleyvvvv. I think it's more an issue with my nails. They have just taken a toll with COVID and all the extra hand washing, so they break so easily these days.

@PrettyPaint I have semi-long nails (acrylics) and had the darndest time opening up that compact. My thought process was "I bet people with shorter nails will be able to open this no problem." Guess I was wrong 😅.

@niki172   I have no nails, and nails that break, and I'm having no problem opening it, surprisingly.  I might tend to position it sideways to open it; I'll have to investigate my method. 🙂

To follow up... I did receive Monarch but previously bought Dragon fly...here’s a comparison. Or not..it won’t let me upload the pic?? There we go. Dragon left Monarch right. 

 

I LOVE Monarch but can’t say the same for Dragon Fly. They are like two different formulas. Monarch I wear almost daily, Dragon I can’t make work - it’s patchy not smooth at all. 

Westman Atelier is so beautiful, I’m just the palest gal you ever did meet lol I have had great success wearing it as a cream eyeshadow! Such beautiful, Lux packaging. If Sephora Canada carried the brand, I would be interested in trying a lighter shade!

@GG84 - Thanks for swatching both eyeshadow palettes!  I thought I would like Dragonfly better; but now that I've seen swatches, my eyes go right to Monarch.  💖💖💖

@GG84, Interesting!  The lavender color from Dragon Fly looks more gray in your swatch than lavender, and not a good gray.  Thanks for swatching it for us and giving your review!  I love the Monarch palette, too, and use it all the time because it's so easy to use.

Congratulations, @GG84!! Thank you for the comparison and the swatches of Dragonfly!! The green shade in Dragonfly caught my eye, but seeing it swatched it isn't as green as I was hoping.

So far I am loving everything in the Clean Makeup gratis except the Sephora Collection palette. I received the Monarch palette, I also got it in a previous gratis package and already reviewed it.

 It swatches beautifully but I can’t get it to work for me. It is patchy and even with primer it just doesn’t stay put on my lids. I am usually not a fan of lip plumpers but I really like the LAWLESS Forget The Filler Lip Plumper Line Smoothing Gloss Rosy Outlook 

 I haven’t noticed any stinging or tingling, it lasts for about 2 hours, and I like how smooth my lips look. I haven’t noticed any plumping though and it doesn’t look like there is very much product in the tube. The Saie Glowy Super Gel Lightweight Dewy Multipurpose Illuminator is so pretty.

 I like that it can be used multiple ways. My favorite is to mix it with moisturizer. The only way I didn’t like using it was mixed with foundation. I was scared that the Westman Atelier Super Loaded Tinted Cream Highlighter would be too way dark for me but it blends out so well.

 The packaging is absolutely gorgeous. I think it will definitely work better for me this summer. It also looks really pretty as an eyeshadow. I rarely wear blush and have only tried cream blush a couple of times so I was very intimidated by the MERIT Flush Balm Cream Blush Raspberry Beret 

 It is my favorite product from this gratis package. It is so easy to use, it blends beautifully and looks very natural. I absolutely love it! I also like to put it on my lips for a little pop of color.
