Fe-BROW-ary

Hey all! I wanted to propose a challenge for the month of February. I tried to search BIC and couldn't find anything so hopefully this is a new idea. I want to encourage everyone and myself to share brows and their brow goals for February.

I'm sure there are plenty of options that can range from low maintenance for makeup minimalists to more creative for those who want to branch out.

Perhaps you want to:

  • Try to do your brows twice a week
  • Use a new type of brow product - you usually go with a pencil but will try a pomade
  • Take care and strengthen your brows
  • Find a new holy grail brow product for you
  • Go wild with an attempt at an eyebrow trend

I hope you'll join along. Suggestions welcome!

True!

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

I took pics of my daily brow process the other week and while I was trying to post everything got seriously messed up. I’ll give it another try. Be kind. For me this is sort of like showing up to school in just your underwear. My naked spotty brows (and naked face, too)My naked spotty brows (and naked face, too)

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

This is great, @jozkid!  Thanks for sharing!

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

You’re very welcome @Titian06 !

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@jozkid Loved seeing your process. You do a great job on your brows!

Best,

Rebecca

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

Thanks @RebeccaBT   A necessity unfortunately

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@jozkid ,

I'm impressed!  You do such a good job, and your brows look so good when you are through!  It's amazing.  No, It doesn't hurt at all that you really are an artist!

Thanks for showing us!   🙂

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@jozkid That’s amazing work! I honestly would have no idea.

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

I notice it @tastelikewater , but that’s because I have to use a 10X magnifying makeup mirror. I can see every line, wrinkle and pore with that baby. Lol!  I don’t think most people do unless you’re really close up — or maybe people are too polite and I’m deluding myself!

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@jozkid I refuse to use any kind of magnification for that exact reason: I don’t want to see any more details of my face than I already do!

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

I don’t have much of a choice @tastelikewater   I can’t see without my glasses to put my makeup on. Yes, it’s true... I wear glasses and never wear them when I take my pics. You can barely see my eye makeup because of my hooded eyes. I refuse to cover them up further with my glasses! 😁

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

Thanks @byme4u   Just lots of practice

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

Brows are my favorite and I love seeing befores and afters. Yours look fab @jozkid ! Nice work!

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

Thanks @starsandbucks   I adore your brows — and I know yours are all yours!

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

I love seeing each step. You have a true artist's touch @jozkid. It looks so natural.

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

Why thanks @ShortErica

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

Thanks for the whole process!! @jozkid 🤗 my brows are all kinds of crazy so I appreciate step by step guides so I can figure out how everyone gets them to look so natural! They don’t look overdone/unnatural at all! I never would have guessed, especially because the color is such a good match!

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@cianni I think the color is half the battle. I’m fortunate the Medium Brown seems to be a great match for my brows

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@jozkid I totally agree! I have a hard time with color because I have super dark brows, so if I match them too closely, it looks a little sharpie-esque unless I’m really careful, and a lot of other slightly lighter browns pull too red comparatively. I should get color matched but I feel so naked if I leave the house with nothing on, but it would make no sense to go with makeup on 😂 now that I think abut it, that’s the same reason I’ve never been foundation matched either .. hmmm

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@cianni   Sharpies can make great brow markers. One of my kids pretended like they were going to use it on my eyebrows, so I called their bluff, grabbed it, and applied it. 🙂

Re: Fe-BROW-ary

@jozkid   You did your brows freehand?  Wow!  They make a perfect frame for your face.

  • It looks a lot like a mascara brush. There is a section of the brush that has longer hairs, which is what I mostly use to apply the product.

  • I should have added a little more on the middle of my brow. And, I should have made sure the end was smoother, but I was in a hurry because the person taking my pictures was in a hurry. :)
