Thought I'd start a thread just for Viseart since so many of us LOVE them. ![]()
I love to encourage a small brand as opposed to a brand where you pay for the name. The eye shadow quality can't be beat!

Price breakdown for those interested
Saw this on Facebook a while back and thought I'd add it here.
A 12 color Viseart Eyeshadow Palette is $80 USD (before pro discount). Each eyeshadow pan is 2 grams and valued at approx. $6 ($3.00 per gram).
MAC has reduced the price of their single eyeshadows refills from $10 USD to $6 USD each. So 12 colors at the new reduced price would be $72 USD (before pro discount). Add the $8 USD empty palette to store them and we're back to $80 USD.
EXCEPT: Each MAC eyeshadow pan is only 1.3 grams ($4.62 per gram). You're getting only 15.6 grams of product, as opposed to the 24 grams of eyeshadow in the Viseart palette. That's a loss of over 8 grams of product.
FINAL ANALYSIS:
It would cost $119 USD for MAC to duplicate the Viseart palette (24 grams of MAC eyeshadow at $4.62 per gram and $8 for the palette).
I think I'm in the minority when I say this doesn't appeal to me at all. It's probably the first time I've ever thought that about Viseart. I do like that they're doing something different and coming up with an exciting color scheme that hasn't been recycled over the past few years.
I love the colours individually but I am not sure how I could possibly wear them together. Then again I am in my 40's and in a conservation office environment! LOL. Maybe if I see some looks using it I will change my mind.
These colors are so vibrant and refreshing I'm not totally sure how I will wear them but they make me happy.
@veronika23I wasn't really interested in this but those swatches are gorgeous,I might have rethink getting it.
Here are some swatches of Coy
@veronika23- I wonder if it's going to be super fallout glitter like the Grande Pro 2? I don't reach for those shades in the palette as much as the others because I hate dealing with the mixing medium.
@prettyinpa I read that the Coy palette is the Crystalline finish (I believe that's column 1 in GP2)
Hopefully that won't require the medium.
@Mochapj- Thanks for the info. I don't have trouble with that row, it's one of my favorites. My birthday money is back in peril.
Hi all,
I am somewhat of a palette junky, but I don't currently have any Viseart in my collection despite all of the rave reviews I have read. Well, I have some store credit so I've finally decided to get one of their palettes as a holiday present to myself. Golden, Tryst, and Libertine are the three that catch my eye, but I've narrowed it down to either Golden or Tryst because they both happen to be on sale currently. I would really appreciate it if anyone has a suggestion of which I should choose. I guess I'm mostly just wondering if they are comparable in terms of quality. And to me quality eye shadow means good pigmentation and blendability. I'm not generally someone who gets too worked-up over fall-out so that probably wouldn't be a deciding factor for me (unless we are talking about exploding ABH Subculture palettes kind of fall-out lol).
Thanks!
I have a few viseart palettes and really love all of them. My favourite is the Grand Pro volume 1. However I prefer to wear more matte eyeshadows than anything with a shine. I find that the quality is fairly even across the board between the 12 pan, 6 pan, petit pro and and the metal finish packaged (libertine, tryst etc) products. I'd recommend choosing the one that has colours you most enjoy using on a semi regular basis. My next purchase will be cool mattes 2 as those are colours I enjoy enjoy in a finish I enjoy.
I really believe that MUFE, and Viseart create some of the best shadows going. I've tried drug store, and online brands and can tell you they just don't compare in quality in my opinion. Both of the palettes you've narrowed it down to are great! Let us know how you like the palette you choose!
