Since the brand is coming to Sephora. I thought I'd start a thread just for the brand for news and info.

I'm curious, she posted the same image as inspiration before the launch of the Mattetrance lipsticks. I wonder if it's another lip product or something completely new.
@kyraaaaaaaa, oh no! I hope the third one came unbroken!
Hi everyone!
I'm very sorry about this, and thank you for your feedback. If anyone needs assistance, please send myself or any other moderator a private message with your order number and details. Thank you!
Best regards,
Laurie
Sephora, I appreciate the prompt email follow up this evening however an $18 merchandise credit is still insufficient.
At $68, I paid $72.76 with tax.
At $50, I would pay $53.50 with tax.
This is a cost difference of $19.26 resulting in a net overcharge of $1.26.
Are you charging me sales tax on the merchandise credit I did not ask for? Why would the excess sales tax not be refunded?
@shimmerbait Just a quick update with my experience.
I calculated the amount I was overcharged to include the tax, and explained all of my calculations in an email and requested a refund. I received a (very quick) response that I would receive a store credit in the full amount ($19 price reduction + the tax difference). So they did adjust mine to include the overpayment of tax when I asked for it, but store credit issued instead of a refund.
ETA: I emailed them back asking why it was a store credit rather than refund. I didn't receive an answer to that specific question, but they did respond saying they would refund the price adjustment.
@shimmerbaitIf I recall correctly, there was some confusion during the launch on the price of the products. I think @katiebt could corroborate that. I'm guessing there was some error on Pat McGrath Labs' part and now Sephora is left holding the bag. I agree that you should be refunded for the sales tax. I think both Sephora and Pat McGrath Labs can do better than a $15 merchandise credit. Honestly, Sephora should be sending you a credit for the amount you overpaid (including taxes) to your original method of purchase. A $15 credit is weak. If you paid with a credit card you may be able to get them to refund you. I know some credit cards have a price drop protection program where they reimburse you if an item you buy goes on sale within a certain time period.
I agree that a credit (store or otherwise) doesn’t cut the mustard. I would file a dispute with my credit card company or PayPal.
Thanks @itscarin. I just don't understand why a partial refund with tax can't be issued? While I would prefer the refund to my credit card, I would accept the merchandise credit in full.
It's not like 6 or 12 months has gone by and there's been a price decrease. It's been 4 days. I just want to be made whole and not pay more than I would had I waited and purchased today.
@shimmerbait Wow, I am done with early access. Thank you for posting about how this is getting resolved so far.
PSA for US Rouges: If you purchased the highlighter palette early, check if you were overcharged and ask for a refund. The palette price today is $50 but I paid $68 a few days ago.
Darn, you gals rock!! I'm about to post i just saw the price difference.
So I just called and was told no refunds because this is a special sale price. I told him I believe that is incorrect and Sephora made a mistake on the listing. After a brief hold, I was told all Sephora can do is offer me a merchandise credit in the amount of the price difference; state sales tax cannot be refunded. Disappointing result.
@RaquelBT is this correct? Do I need to return and repurchase ? I can do it if you say so, but I trust your word a lot more than some of the phone reps
Hi @shimmerbait & @lachaton,
I apologize for the delayed response, I was out of the office. Please feel free to send me your order numbers via private message, so I can look into this for you both/further assist. Thank you. 🙂
Best Regards,
❤️ Raquel
