Mothership VI Eyeshadow Palette - Midnight Sun

Tom Ford's Sphinx cream shadow might work as a dupe--lovely fine sparkles, peachy-pink golden shade.  It came out a few years ago, and when I saw VR Rose Venus I immediately thought of it.

@KVeritas  Hmm, I’ll take a look at that one. There’s also a pretty close ColourPop dupe: though it obviously doesn’t feel like Pat’s VR formula, it does look an awful lot like VR Rose Venus.

@mermadelove 🤣 Unlike me, my friend rarely uses her Bronze Temptation 6-pan. (I love that palette.) But now she’s fallen back in love with it, especially for its duochromes, and most especially for Provocatrix. Since she also has the Ritualistic Rose quad, she’ll have fun layering it over various other things in her collection. And nope, she no longer wants to buy Divine Rose just for one shadow—or so she says. Hey, I’m not her keeper, she can do what she wants with her money. But she asked me for help not spending it, so I happily obliged. Plus, I discovered how fun Astral Rose Orchid + Corruption is. 🙂

@WinglessOne  Bronze temptation never called to me. I ordered and am still waiting for Ritualistic Rose. I am hoping Divine Rose eventually comes to Sephora so I can use a Rouge reward to get it!

@mermadelove  Heh, I love Bronze Temptation so much, I intentionality cracked its cardboard spine hard so I could keep the palette from doing that drunk Venus flytrap thing all the MTHRSHPs do. 😂 I was sold on its 2 duochromes and that shimmery minty green. But I understand that palette’s not for everyone. I know someone who hates blue eyeshadows on herself, so she’s not attracted to any palettes that contain them. 🤷‍♀️ 

I hope your quad arrives soon! And it’s great to get any Mothership for just $25 instead of $125.

@WinglessOne  wow you love it that much??? Hmmmmm maybe I should revisit. I LOVE blues...... My quad arrives tomorrow. Yay! Also, I may be getting that palette for $100 instead of $125. I get rewards from work that I can cash in for gift cards and I have enough for a $25 at Sephora right now. I tried again to get the $100 Rouge reward and it had been literally impossible for me this time. I’ve tried 6 different ways six different times and it’s like Thunderdome had a baby with The Hunger Games trying to get that reward!!!! 😤🤬🤯

Anyone heard about this? If it's not glitter, I would be VERY tempted. I haven't been interested in enough in the full color stories of the other palettes. This could be the one!

My first order was okay... but then during the half of sale, forget it. A kit went OOS and I didn't get any info until I contacted them. And then my other kit showed up, but I got the delivery notifications a week later. 🤷

The first order was a full sized Mattetrance.  That arrived quickly and I had to go sign for it... Wasn't left at my door. Then when the 50% sale occurred, I ordered the gold kit and copper kit from Metamorphosis 005.  Anyhow, I expect slower service in a sale, but I hadn't received any texts or emails that something shipped and I literally signed for a lipstick, so I was expecting something.   The gold kit showed up, and the notifications came a week afterward.  I reached out to PMG and got a refund, but the late notification kind of got my hopes up because I thought maybe the copper kit was coming to me!  I like the gold kit, but it's really similar to FB Trophy Wife on me, really wish the copper didn't go OOS, but c'est la vie.

@sprocketta this palette has 4 repeat shades from other palettes so it might be worthwhile for you. It still has one very sparkly glitter shade, which is the same as the one on Midnight Sun.

@sprocketta Ok, sanity check, from the owner of a million palettes.  This palette is stunning and love PM mothership palettes.  But - I have blue eyes.  Seemingly, this palette is much better suited for those with brown eyes.  Yet, still, I feel that I must have it.  Sanity check.  For those with blue eyes, and in a world of other stunning choices, is this rose palette really the one I should be stalking?

I see that ritualistic rose quad has been removed from the Sephora site. Is this permanent? I was hoping it would come back before the sale ended. Bummer.

Check out the Pat McGrath website! That’s where I got mine when I saw it was sold out at Sephora. My purchase also came with one of her liquid lips - so definitely check for promos.

I'm not someone who uses a lot of pink eyeshadow but the Ritualistic Rose quad took me by surprise today. It came in the mail as I was doing my makeup and I had to try it. It's so so beautiful. I posted my look on the What are you wearing thread but I wanted to share it here too. I loved it so much. I used all four shades for this look with a little bit of the mattes from Bronze Ambition to blend it out. The bronze shade from RR is the color on my lower lash line.
