Since I just PMGed my arm up to help a friend decide if she reeeeally needs the Gold 005 Kit or any of the new quads, or if they’d just be dupes of what she already owns, I’ll also share my finger swatches here. 

I’m sure many folks have already done swatch comparisons of some of these 😄 but here we go!

I added Copper as a color reference because she frequently combines purples, coppers, and golds. I’ve already told her to consider buying the 5-pan mini palette that contains Synthetica and Gold Standard, rather than buying the Synthetica single (she owns Metalmorphosis), if she really wants that shade. But I think she’s decided to get the quad instead, now that she’s seen how different Blitz Purple is from the other 2 purples. 

And if anyone’s wondering what the difference is between Gold Standard and Gold 005 Pigment: the pigment is much more sparkly than Gold Standard. This photo doesn’t capture that well. But if you wear that gold pigment on your lids, people will ask what you’re wearing. 😄

Synthetica looks gorgeous in that swatch 😯I’m drawn to it even though I don’t typically like how purples look on me haha. Thanks for the pic! @WinglessOne

@Guessgal  I bet Synthetica would look great on you! It’s a good accent shade, but it also works well across the whole lid as a single wash of sparkly color. I almost always apply it with a finger instead of a wet brush. I like my EYEdols single, but since the 5-pan mini palette is nearly the same price and comes with 4 other shadows, I think the mini palette’s a better value (even though the pans are smaller). I mean, not to enable you or anything but it’s a good shade to have on hand, especially if you have no (or very few) usable-for-you purples. 🙂

The shade Smoked Amethyst is really catching my eye. It looks like such a great shade for smoky eyes. <333

@PenelopeBT  Smoked Amethyst creates a very dramatic smoky look, and it’s surprisingly easy to work with: it blends out nicely, without getting muddy or completely losing its purple shimmer. I can’t speak for the EYEdols single (I think it’s available as a single?), but this shade in the 6-pan Metalmorphosis palette is fantastic. 💜
