@veronika23 I can't reply to your comments so I'll have to put it here.

not too long after the alluring aquatic collection they were still a little ok but coming out numerous "limited edition" collections and slowly started to do "nonsense" collections if this makes sense. When the competition beefed up they stuck to their strategy for selling makeup. Which was just selling makeup, no incnentives. MAC will always have a soft spot for many people as it's normally their first brand.

@darkiceis   Yeah lots of nonsense collections... Yup was my first brand so I'll always have a soft spot. Plus I do really love their products... just not where they are going these days.

@veronika23 They really are going downhill. Hopefully they can get it together sooner. It seems like they are trying to find a way to stay afloat with all the competition.

@darkiceisyup. I think that's why they started a loyalty program, sales, samples, gwp... they usually did their own thing and now it feels like they're more following?  I dunno... Something has been off in the past few years and it makes me sad 😞

Sad to say but I do. 😞  I think these were to target a younger crowd... I'm so sad to see MAC go downhill like this in the past few years.

Not sure if these have possibly been discussed before since the sort order is a mess 😞 but I'm guessing not much since I only see Basic B listed in the OP. Looks like MAC has 4 new palettes coming out soon! They are up on Ulta's site, but not actually available until 8/3.

From the description: "New pressed powder eyeshadow formulas in Satin Shine, Smooth Pearl, Foiled Shadow and Creamy Matte all deliver a creamy, silky texture with superior colour payoff, while a new Highlighter formula in Opalescent is lightweight and glides on skin for just the right amount of pearl and pop."

Beauty addicts, now you'll be able to hoard even more MAC lipstick without guilt. The iconic and addictive brand will soon be sold at a discount at Nordstrom Rack.

The beauty brand teamed up with the discount store to sell discontinued products at reduced prices. This will free up space in department store counters for each season's new merchandise and bestsellers.

MAC seems to be expanding its availability in stores; this news comes only a few months after Ulta Beauty started to sell the brand in stores, to the delight of makeup enthusiasts.


Unfortunately, this exciting news isn't permanent. A spokeswoman for the brand told WWD that "this is not an ongoing partnership" but simply a way for them to free up space for new product. Regardless of how long this sweet deal will last, we plan to take full advantage of it.

@ZombieMetroAnt:  Thanks for posting -- this is really interesting news!  I guess that's why we have seen two iterations of MAC sales on Hautelook this year (despite the very limited offerings).  I am seriously hoping that LE/special packaging products will be offered at Nordstrom Rack.  Having never lived near a CCO, I've always been envious of those who have found some discontinued gems there!
