Jo Malone Thread: Share the News and Love!

I've searched high and low and haven't found a dedicated Jo Malone thread, but knowing how many of us enjoy JM products I though it'd be nice to have a place where we can share upcoming news and our favorites.

My all time favorite is Blue Agava and Cacao, followed by Peony Blush Suede.

I just picked up Basil and Neroli, which to my nose is a dead ringer for Bobbi Brown Beach! As I love Beach, I think this fragrance is going to be a new fave come the spring. It is different enough from Lime, Basil, Mandarin to justify owning both in my collection. Basil and Neroli emphasizes the Neroli while LBM is heavy on the basil and lime, which give it a more herbal edge.

How do people feel about the new Raspberry Ripple scent? To me it seems too chemically and I am not a fan. In fact it gave me a headache!! I am a huge fan of the red hibiscus scent and was disappointed in this one.

Hi @itsfi! Thanks for tagging me! Ginger Biscuit has been my best friend’s favorite JM scent since it was first released in 2013, and it’s released every once in a while so it’s nice to see it back for the holidays! I’m also excited for the other new release this winter: Sandalwood & Spiced Apricot! I don’t think I have any apricot forward scents, so it’ll be interesting to try out!

@LCResz, you can log on, yesssss!!! 😃 Oooouh, I like the sound of sandalwood and spiced apricot, but I am a teensy bit concerned how sharp the patchouli and balsamic might be on the dry down based on that fragrantica pyramid. I'm trying to think about apricot scents and the only thing that comes to mind is Comptoir sud Pacifique Vanilla Abricot and that's all that I've tried other than maybe a couple of Japanese fragrances with a medley of peach & apricot notes, but I wouldn't say they were apricot forward fragrances. 

I didn't see Ginger Biscuit as being available at my JM boutique but I'll have to check in with them about it and Sandalwood & Spiced Apricot.

Yay, finally able to post again, and just in time! Coming soon to a Sephora near you and online is the latest Limited Edition from Jo Malone: Raspberry Ripple. It is a reissue of the 2022 Redcurrant and Cream in updated packaging. I sampled it at the JM Boutique recently, and it performs like most JM colognes in that it opens strong with a sweet, fruity blast of raspberries and redcurrants, but it didn’t last long. If you like fruity gourmands and are ready to respritz throughout the day, you might want to give this one a test run.

So good to "see" you here @LCResz; sorry about the log-in issues. I hope you've been well; always love seeing you on the threads. Your post is so well timed; I was wondering about Raspberry Ripple. I don't think I tested Redcurrent and Cream when it was released. Making a note to pop my head into my Jo Malone store to try this one the next time I'm in the area.

Coming this March, the 2025 additional to the Blossoms collection will be Beach Blossom! @LCResz, I imagine you already have the other two fragrances in this Jo Malone London Most-Loved Mini Floral Cologne Trio Set but the set includes the most recent release Jo Malone London Beach Blossom Cologne with Coconut Water and Vanilla. I had a chance to smell it in store and they kindly gave me a sample - it's a beautiful summer scent - floral, creamy, fresh, and beach-y without an overpowering scent of suntan lotion that can be found in other beach-y fragrances.

@LCResz Please forgive if you already posted a review for this. Have you tried? PS Nordstrom has this at 20% off. I have a weakness for JM Rose scents 😘

@LCResz @itsfi  Report back; it’s a solid release. I love it. I still believe Nordstrom marked this off by mistake 😂🤣 and I’m glad I buy blind. Sorry I’m not great I’m describing scent but it reminds me of TF Rose line not same scent but same vibe. It’s beautiful. I recommend it.

Yes!!! I'm so happy you picked this up @blackkitty2014! That was a wonderful deal - and using gift cards just makes it that much better. I was wondering whether it would be along the lines of the Tom Ford Rose scents so your feedback is helpful. No more Nordstrom near me but there are other department stores that carry Jo Malone, as well as a JM boutique so I may have to make a trip that way at some point. 🤔

@blackkitty2014 Didn’t see this release out of London and now I understand why! I love rose and coffee notes together. So I hope this one lives up to the potential of these glorious ingredients! Let us know all about it!
