putting heat on hair

From my personal experience when I recently cut all of my dead ends off, after my hair cut I put heat on my hair ( like straighting curling and blowdrying) for about a week WITHOUT heat protectint. And within a week  my dead ends were back🙁. I took a target trip to find a heat protectint and I found one that protects your hair while repairing/ Hygerating your hair.
