Volume for straight oily hair

I have straight and somewhat fine hair that gets oily/greasy quickly. I am going to Vegas in 2 weeks and I know that because of the humidity my hair is going to fall flat even faster. Any recomendations for volumizing products that wont make my hair even more greasy or weigh it down?

I am considering the products listed below:

Re: Volume for straight oily hair

I know it sounds like the opposite of what you would want to use lol, but I've found that the Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer has really helped with reducing grease/oil in my hair.  I used to have to wash my hair every day or use a lot of dry shampoo if I missed a hair wash.  Since starting to used the Invisible Oil Primer I can go a day or two without washing my hair and it still looks great.

Oh and I forgot to add in that I use the Wella Brilliance Mousse and these two products together have really made my hair look like it has more volume after styling.  Have fun in Vegas!

I can't say that I've tried any of the products you're considering, but I find that dry shampoo, even on clean hair, helps give my hair lift at the roots.  It will both bulk your hair up and also absorb oil.  I recommend Batiste which can be found at Walgreens and Ulta for under $10.

Dry shampoo works wonders!

I second that!! Also put a volumizing mousse or spray throughout your hair and make sure it's worked in. Then blow dry your hair. Use the dry shampoo afterwards at to give even more volume. BAM! Magic! Smiley Wink

I agree with the suggestion of dry shampoo. Smiley Happy

I have the same type of hair and the Prive Volumizing Dry Shampoo works really well for me. I highly suggest it. It's available at the Prive website. I buy mine from SleekHair (it's cheaper than the brand website). Have fun in Las Vegas!
