Virtue Hair Products Fake Reviews

Browsing through hair products today and noticed that Virtue hair products have great reviews. However, after diving deeper, I noticed that all the posts are 1,2,3,4 hours ago and this pattern keeps going. They are clearly using bots to pump up there product reviews. All the reviews have been written in an extremely close and unrealistic succession. Based on this alone, I would not trust this product, which is unfortunate.

Re: Virtue Hair Products Fake Reviews

@BrowsBeforeBros    I've learned to read reviews on the Sephora site very carefully. It helps to click on the Verified Purchase filter - sometimes, to my amusement, there are no reviews at all by verified purchasers. Any product with nearly all five star reviews often has a lot of fake reviews pumping it up. New products often have this kind of false boost as well. You can also spot fake or incentivized reviews because they use language right out of the product description, phrases that I've never heard people use in real life to describe a product. Or when people say things like "cute packaging" - utterly useless as a product evaluation - or "would definitely buy again" instead of "WILL definitely buy again".

Props to you for spotting the fake reviews. I sometimes wonder if it would be useful to the community to have a flag you could click to say "I think this is a fake review" if it's not already marked as Incentivized.
