Shampoo for Keratin treatment

Hi, I received a keratin treatment and wondering what shampoos are best / safe to use? Thanks!!

Re: Shampoo for Keratin treatment

@MBLL Hair stylist here. Wherever you got it done should have recommended an appropriate regimen. Do you know the brand of Keratin Treatment done? You MUST use a SODIUM CHLORIDE FREE shampoo/conditioner. Please don't confuse that with sulfate. Sodium Chloride can/will break down the Keratin freshly infused into your hair. If you can get your hands on Liquid Keratin Anti Frizz Shampoo/Conditioner, it's awesome.

RE: Shampoo for Keratin treatment

Make sure your shampoo is not only sulfate-free but also free from harsh salts.

Re: Shampoo for Keratin treatment

@MBLL Almost all of the Organix Shampoo line is sulfate free - that's usually what I've used when I do keratin.

Re: Shampoo for Keratin treatment

@MBLL I did some quick research online, and it looks like sulfate-free shampoos are the way to go.  I like Pureology Hydrate, and I know it's popular with others on BIC and is a top seller on Amazon.  However, I cannot speak to it's efficacy for keratin-treated hair.  I wonder if DevaCurl No Poo would be good, b/c it's so gentle.

I'm sure you will get some good responses on BIC.

BTW, did your hairstylist give you any tips?
