Recommendations for Curly Hair on the Bottom and Wavy on the Top

I've been having the problem for years of having trouble styling my hair because it it super curly on the bottom and wavy on the top. I feel like I have no options other than straightening it everyday or putting it in a ponytail with a headband. When I do blow dry it it only comes out slightly less curly/wavy. Using heat everyday has damaged my hair so I do use It's a 10 Miracle Leave in Plus Keratin to help with strengthening my hair which has proven to work so far. However, I'm wondering if anyone else has this issue and what products they use and how you manage styling it on a daily basis? Thanks in advance!
