Protein Free Hair Products

Can anyone recommend good products that do not have protein in them? My hairdresser told me to avoid proteins. I love kerastas so I am hoping they have an option.

@Kara425 Their Kérastase Elixir Ultime Hydrating Conditioner 6.8 oz/ 200 mL  and Kérastase Elixir Ultime Hydrating Shampoo 8.5 oz/ 250 mL  appear to be protein-free based on their ingredient list, but you might want to check with them because ingredients sometimes change without notice.

Do you have hair extensions, is this the reason you are avoiding protein?

I had a bad highlight job where I ended up with a chemical haircut and had to cut off a foot of hair. Trying to nurse the remaining hair back to help

You SHOULD be using protein then. I’m not sure why your stylist informed you otherwise. Stylist/Salon Educator here. Protein strengthens the hair so it doesn’t snap off, Moisture makes it soft. You want protein, especially after a chemical haircut. Did the salon do any treatments on you?

I have been getting an olaplex treatment once a month since the incident and the alternate hair washes between the olaplex system (0,3,4,5,6,7), the redken extreme bleach recovery set and kerastase chronologiste mask. Plus no heat on my hair, wet brushes, special towels, etc.
