Pin straight hair and wave spray

Hey there, if you have pin straight hair naturally, how do you use wave spray?

I do not have pin straight hair. However, I have used salt wave spray on straightened hair. I find for me, it's best to spray it and then I typically twist it and pin it up & allow it to fully air dry. Once I take it out, I have nice subtle beach waves!
