Is K18 good for reversing hair damage from chlorine?

Hey everyone!

I swim 5-6 times a week and my hair is rather damaged from the chlorine. I want to try K18 leave in because I have only heard good things about it but it's soooo expensive. Is it worth a shot or what else should I look for? Thank you!

Re: Is K18 good for reversing hair damage from chlorine?

@luvtheswimmers   I would definitely try the K18 Biomimetic Hairscience PEPTIDE PREP™ Clarifying Detox Shampoo 8.5 oz / 250 mL to get rid of any clorine etc. from swimming.  It does a great job for cleaning hair from the products I use and leaves it soft.

If you'd like to try the K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Mini Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask 0.5 oz/ 15 mL , here's a link to the mini size.

Alcohol denatured is the second ingredient in the leave-in, so that's something to consider if it might dry out your hair even more.  It's also high in protein (wheat protein,) so if your hair doesn't respond well to that, you might not get your money's worth with this product.  I happen to know my hair can't take much protein because it leaves it brittle and frizzy if I do.

One thing that I can recommend is Kiehl's olive hair mask.  Sephora doesn't carry it anymore, but I use it instead of a conditioner and it does me well.  Also good is COLOR WOW Money Mask Deep Hydrating & Strengthening Hair Treatment 7.5 oz/ 215 mL .

@Ispend2much6 Thank you so much for the advice! I will definitely use those products!

@luvtheswimmers  You're welcome!  I hope you find something that works well.
