IGK Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo

Help! If you are a big fan of the IGK Charcoal dry shampoo how do you use it? I got one and tried it this morning as indicated... but hair still looks oily. I want to try it one more time before making any decisions.

For reference: I got it because it has great reviews for second-day hair - which is my issue. I have tried all the brands out there from Batiste to Oribe... dry bar for me was the absolute worse. Maybe dry shampoo is not for me?

thanks for your help!

Re: IGK Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo

@RosaLo That's odd because I find the charcoal shampoo very drying on me.  Maybe even a little too dry!  I use all different brands of dry shampoo.  My favorite is the Sachajuan dry shampoo.  But I've also used the drybar shampoos, and I like them.  I have one opened that I'm using right now and another in a limited edition scent that's waiting in the wings.

Have you ever found a dry shampoo you did like?

As far as application goes, just spray it on the oily parts of your hair.  Very close to the scalp, obviously.  And you need to divide your hair into a few sections, depending on the thickness of your hair.  Once you've sprayed it on, make sure you rub it in/ comb through it so you don't get streaky white splotches of dry shampoo.

And there are powder dry shampoos and dry shampoo sprays.  If you want to be super organic you can sprinkle some corn starch in your hair -- it's basically the main ingredient in dry shampoo.  Again, you'd apply at the scalp and make sure to brush it out.
