I want your opinions

Hi all!

I wanted everyones advice/opinion on something. Every year, I get my hair highlighted once, but is always awkwardly grown out. I do like the color in my hair, but I also want to maintain its health. This is why I only do it once.

I shared this concern with my stylist and she recommended that I do balayage as I won't have to touch it up as much. I looked up pictures of balayage and did not like that the color does not touch the root of my hair like regular highlights do. Then, she recommended me foilyage. 

When I looked foilyage up, it did not look like any different than a balayage. Does anyone know the difference? Also, is there something you would recommend that may meet my preferences or may look good with my hair? Lastly, are foilyage or balayage any more damaging than regular highlights?

Hi Kizaaa, balayage is a method used if you only want to lift your natural hair color 2 to 3 shades lighter. Foiliage is used with foils and can get you lighter you will still end up with a “lived in” look. You could do a combo of both.
