I’m not sure

i had curly hair as a baby and around toddler age lost it. i’m not sure if it was just baby curls or if i can still get them back. after a shower my hair air-dries in a slightly wavy formation, but it gets lost and super frizzy as soon as i brush it. if i just have straight hair that’s okay but if there’s a chance it’s something else what products/methods would i use to revive and maintain it?

Re: I’m not sure

Hair texture and curl pattern definitely changes throughout our lifetime. Up until HS I had stick straight hair and suddenly in 20s became curly. Now it’s a slight wave but usually dries straight. I don’t know a lot about wavy hair but I know curls require a lot of hydration to come through.

Detangle hair b4 shower.

Use a good conditioner or hair mask in the shower.

If you’re going to brush your hair, do it while it’s wet (gently).

And use a leave in conditioner right after shower, to lock in the moisture (I like Pureology Color Fanatic Heat Protectant Leave-In Conditioner)

And then scrunch the hair with a curl product likeCurlsmith Weightless Air Dry Curly Hair Cream 8 oz / 237 mL

I think most curly haired people let it air dry or use a diffuser.

good luck 🙂
