Are Leave-In and Detangle the same?

@missaa8 I have three different detanglers that I use:

#Briogeo Mini Farewell Frizz™ Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioner Spray 1.75 oz/ 52 mL .  It is both a detangler and leave-in conditioner.  It does not have heat protection, so I use it if I am air-drying.  I like that it is very lightweight.

Bumble and bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Heat Protectant Leave In Conditioner Primer 8.5 oz/ 25... is also both a detangler and leave-in conditioner, and also provides heat and UV protection.  It is a little heavier than the Briogeo leave-in.

If I am dealing with a serious tangling situation (like from the wind or post-swim), I use good old Johnson's No More Tangles, but it is strictly a detangling spray.

@Mel231, after applying, do you find yourself having to adjust anything during the day or evening?

@missaa8 After drying, I usually have to apply an oil/serum.

Detanglers are typically leave-in products, but not all leave-in products are detanglers. Leave-in would mean that you don't wash the product out in the shower. Detanglers help you get knots out of hair.

@meganfre, would a detangler have to be rinsed out?

@missaa8 @Sometimes they come as one. My kids use a leave in detangler.
