HOW TO USE OLAPLEX 0 & 3 WHEN THERE'S BUILDUP PRESENT IN THE HAIR?

I have been noticing a lot of product buildup recently (past couple of weeks it's been getting worst!) and was wondering how to use the Olaplex 0 & 3 treatments on my hair since you're supposed to use the 0 on dry hair. Should I first wash my hair prior to using the #0 but then.. I'd have to wash again to remove#3 would be drying to brittle highlighted hair..

Any comments or recommendations would be really appreciated!

my stylist told me to use all products on wet clean hair but to use them one at a time. She told me to apply 0 to my brittle hair then use either a hot towel or a shower cap for 20-30 minutes. I had chemo and radiation and it destroyed my hair, Olaplex  saved it! #besthairever

Do a clarifying treatment - apply a clarifying shampoo to your hair, bag it and apply a warm towel or dryer for a few mins. Rinse it all out. Proceed with your Olaplex 0/3 and yes shampoo and condition out per instructions. Product build up needs to be removed in order to get the full benefits.
