Between May 2^nd and May 31^st at 11:59pm Pacific Time, comment on this thread by hitting “reply” and sharing a hair tip that changed your life! ELIGIBILITY: Open Only to SEPHORA COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHO ARE Legal Residents OF, AND RESIDING IN, THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA (EXCLUDING QUEBEC) WHO ARE OF LEGAL AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR JURISDICTION OF RESIDENCE (AND AT LEAST 18). Void in quebec and Where Prohibited. Employees (and their immediate families (spouse, and parents, children and siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same households, whether or not related) of Sephora USA, Inc. (“Sponsor”), its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to enter or win. By participating, entrants (and, if eligible minors, their parents or legal guardians) agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and/or judges, which are binding and final on matters relating to this sweepstakes. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state and local laws.

SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes will begin on May 2, 2022 at the time the Sweepstakes Post is posted, and ends May 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. PT (“Sweepstakes Period”).

HOW TO ENTER:  During the Sweepstakes Period, to enter, find the post in Sephora’s Beauty Insider Community forum about this sweepstakes and comment with your best hair tip. There is a limit of one (1) entry per day; however, each entry must include a hair tip that is substantially different from any other hair tip provided by you, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. PT on May 31, 2022. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means or by any means which subvert the entry process are void. Entries in excess of the stated entry limit will be void. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple accounts in an attempt to circumvent the entry limitation. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent these Official Rules, your entry may be void. Entries become the sole property of Sponsor. All Community terms and guidelines apply.

Drawing:  Potential winners will be selected in a random drawing held on or about June 6, 2022 from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Potential winners will be notified by direct message and may be required to execute and return an affidavit (or, declaration) of eligibility, a liability release and, where lawful, a publicity release within seven (7) days of date of issuance. If such documents are not returned within the specified time period, a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or a potential winner is not in compliance with these rules or is no longer a Sephora Community member, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate winner will be selected. If a Canadian resident, the potential winner will be required to correctly answer a time-limited, skill-testing question without any assistance in order to be eligible to receive a prize. Failure to answer the question correctly will result in the prize being forfeited. Only three (3) alternate winners will be selected after which the prize shall remain unawarded.

Prize And APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”) (15): USD$200 in Sephora e-Gift Cards (terms and conditions apply to use). ARV: $200 each. Total ARV of all prizes USD$3,000. Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied. Hair Tip of the Day 😄 If you have long fine hair and want your braid to look fuller, use a silk scarf to tie into the braid along with your locks. I like to wear the scarf like a head band and use it two make 2 braids on each side of my head, I use 2 parts hair and 1 part just the silk scarf. 

Added bonus, the scarf keeps the ends of the braid from becoming too narrow (fine hair braid problems 😅) so when you take your braids out the ends look much better than they would having just been your own hair.

In order to make my hair last longer between washes i try to get creative with my hair and do a different style each day. The first few days I will eear my hair down with a fresh blow dry. I will then add some waves the third day. The fourth and fifth day I will wear up. Then it is the weekend and I will put a treatment in! Easy !

- 1/2 avocado, mashed

- 1 egg yolk

- 1 tbsp honey

Always use a leave in heat treatment before blow drying or using any hot tools! Argan oil is my favorite!

A good tip I have is to use products that help with preventing aging of the scalp and breakage of the hair. One way to do this is to use products that contain specific oils, such as blue tansy oil, and other ingredients that act as heat protectants and anti-breakage formulas. I like to use the adwoa beauty Blue Tansy Leave in Conditioning Styler 14 oz/ 414 mL . First, this smells amazing, and I don’t need that much. Besides the anti-aging of my scalp and the anti-breakage of my hair, this almost provides a nice hydrating and smoothing boost to help define my curls.

Tip #4: Use a hair mist to make your hair smell fabulous at all times. One of the ones I love using is the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa ’71 Hair & Body Fragrance Mist 3.0 oz/ 90 mL which has a similar scent to the Bum Bum Cream we all love 🙂

After I wash my hair with the Moroccanoil Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner Jumbo Set making sure to use the conditioner from mid length down so the top of my hair doesn’t look flat. I noticed a huge difference when I started doing that. I live in the north and my scalp gets very dry. So, I started using the Moroccanoil Dry Scalp Treatment 1.5 oz/ 45 mL and IT IS A GAME CHANGER. Lastly, I use the Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream 10.2 oz/ 300 mL blow dry my hair and making sure I don’t use too much heat because of my IBE tie in extensions (they are too expensive to be careless) my hair feels great, so soft, its smells great and my scalp feels more moisturized and happy!
